SABLE /HBF Literary Festival and International Book Fair
will be at Mboka Festival of Arts, Culture and Sport
12th January – 20th January
The Literary programme includes
- An international bookfair
- Author readings
- Dramatisations
- Creative writing workshops (all genres; all age groups)
- Readings and performances in African languages (Gambian, plus)
- New publishers, new books, new authors
- Panel conversations
- Launch of new writing competitions
- Live recordings / screenings of Indie Book Show Africa.
- Music & Poetry
Throughout the festival you can be just involved with the literary programme
‘Literary Plus’ including cultural and wellbeing programmes and events
and all other aspects of Mboka Arts, Culture and Sport Festival….
Our programme will be ready soon!
The programme is so diverse.

The Mboka Festival of Arts Culture and Sport in The Gambia in 2017 was nothing short of amazing – the fact that it happened and the experience itself.
